eBook retailers Amazon Kindle and Kobo have announced plans to support new devices and operating systems, potentially boosting the number of book lovers able to take up ereading.Kobo's has announced support for the new HP TouchPad
An app for Amazon’s Kindle will be released for the new HP TouchPad while Canadian rival Kobo has announced its app will be pre-loaded on Samsung’s new Galaxy S II tablet.

Kobo has previously announced that its app will be preloaded on the Blackberry Playbook.
Highlighting Kindle’s availability on the iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, PC, Mac, BlackBerry, Windows Phone 7, and Android-based devices, Amazon’s Dorothy Nicholls said the online retailer was “very excited “to add webOS to this list.”
Nicholls added: “As with our other Kindle apps, the webOS app will be free and will incorporate our Whispersync technology so you can seamlessly switch between devices and platforms and never be without your reading.”
